How to connect a MAC to an output
1. Connect the VGA cable to the adapter cable

2. Go to the Apple menu and select System Preferences
3. Click on Displays
4. Click Detect Displays
5. Choose your preference
6. Select the Arrangement tab and make sure Mirror Displays is selected

How to connect a PC to an output

1. Plug in the video cable to the data projector.

2. Plug in the USB connection to the SmartBoard.

3. Start your laptop

4. Press the function keys that activate the 'external display' of your laptop.

Note: Typically, you hold down the Fn key and then tap F5 (Toshiba), F7 (Sony) or F8 (Dell) to switch to external display.
